--F/G Andre Iguodala joined teammates Thaddeus Young and Lou Williams in working with shooting coach Bruce Kreutzer of Mark Price's shooting academy earlier this summer in Georgia. Young and Williams had spent time with Kreutzer and Price in the summer of 2008, but Iguodala was negotiating a contract and didn't. Iguodala, who shot a career-low .307 from the three-point line in 2009-10, is expected to start at shooting guard for new coach Eddie Jordan. --F Elton Brand, when asked if he's better than Lamar Odom and Ron Artest, responded, "Always been, man," before breaking into a smile.
--G Royal Ivey and former Texas teammate T.J. Ford have started a Web site that also features Kevin Durant, D.J. Augustin, Daniel Gibson and LaMarcus Aldridge. On the site, they post video blogs and talk about on- and off-the-court issues. Ivey is also hosting a basketball clinic at his junior high school (Blair Academy).
"I've just been staying active in the community, on the Web, and in the gym, just staying positive," he said. "That's my whole outlook on life -- just stay positive."
