Philadelphia 76ers Roster Report 2008-11-01

Philadelphia 76ers Roster Report 2008-11-01
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Andre Miller, Shooting guard Andre Iguodala, Small forward Thaddeus Young, Power forward Elton Brand, Center Samuel Dalembert. Bench -- Guard Lou Williams, Guard Willie Green, Forward Kareem Rush, Forward Reggie Evans, Forward Marreese Speights.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Willie Green provided a big spark off the bench by scoring 18 points on 8-for-10 shooting, including a 2-for-2 night from three-point land.

"I just wanted to bring energy and be aggressive," Green said.

--F Elton Brand followed a 14-point, 13-rebound debut with the Sixers by contributing 24 points and 14 boards against the Knicks. He also had a game-high three blocks in 31 minutes.

--G Royal Ivey is eligible to make his season debut Saturday in Atlanta after sitting out the first two games to complete a three-game suspension from last April. Sixers coach Maurice Cheeks is likely to de-activate Ivey, veteran Theo Ratliff, who didn't dress in the New York game, or rookie Marreese Speights, who wasn't on the 12-man roster for the opener.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F/C Jason Smith (torn left ACL) is out for the season. He underwent surgery Sept. 17 and has begun the lengthy rehabilitation process.
