--G-F Andre Iguodala struggled with his shot in the opener. He made only 5-of-17 shots, missing all five of his three-point attempts. Although he had six assists, he was credited with three turnovers and could've been stuck with several more.
"I've got to pick it up," Iguodala said.
--C Samuel Dalembert was busy on the glass in the opener, grabbing nine of his 17 of his rebounds on the offensive end. But he missed several easy lay-ups, drawing boos from the crowd in the season's first five minutes, and shot 3-for-9 from the field.
"It was one of those days," Dalembert said.
--G Royal Ivey, signed as a free agent in the off-season, had to sit out the opener as the second game of a three-game suspension he received last April as a member of the Bucks for punching the Bulls' Aaron Gray in the groin. He also must miss Friday's game against the Knicks before being available Saturday against the Hawks in Atlanta. Rookie Marreese Speights and the injured Jason Smith were on the inactive list for the opener, with Ivey's suspension forcing them to only have 11 active players.
MEDICAL WATCH:
--F/C Jason Smith (torn left ACL) is out for the season. He underwent surgery Sept. 17 and has begun the lengthy rehabilitation process.
