
--Eddie Jordan will add Mike O'Koren to his staff as an assistant coach. He also indicated that former Sixers player and current assistant Aaron McKie was likely to join him, as well.
--Eddie Jordan worked with current Sixers president Ed Stefanski for four years with the Nets. Jordan was Byron Scott's lead assistant from 1999-2003, helping New Jersey reach the NBA Finals in 2002 and '03. Stefanski was the assistant GM during that time. "I think what sealed the deal was the second interview that he had with myself and the basketball personnel," Stefanski said. "The chalk talk we had for over four hours because we wanted to know how our players were going to be implemented on both ends of the floor and we came away like, 'Wow, this is the guy for us.' He fits our need as a leader from the communication standpoint. He fits our need for a leader as an X-and-O guy and also the development of young players."
Mavericks assistant Dwane Casey also interviewed twice.
--The Sixers were scheduled to begin their draft workouts with a group that included North Carolina point guard Ty Lawson and Kentucky shooting guard Jodie Meeks. The Sixers have the 17th pick in the June 25 draft.
