Philadelphia 76ers Notes, Quotes 2008-10-30

--The three-point shooting was significantly different between the teams in the Sixers' loss to the Raptors. Philadelphia went 5-for-20 (.250) beyond the arc, while Toronto was 10-of-16 (.625). The Raptors spread the floor with perimeter shooters, along with Chris Bosh and Jermaine O'Neal, and the Sixers couldn't cover everybody.

--The Sixers' home opener started an hour early because the Phillies were completing their suspended Game 5 with a clinching World Series victory across the street. The Sixers allowed fans to stay at the Wachovia Center and watch the Phillies win the Series on television after the opener.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "Personally, I think we're a better team. We just didn't show it tonight." -- Samuel Dalembert, after the Sixers' 95-84 opening loss to the visiting Raptors.
