The Sixers can still salvage a winning record on the five-game West Coast swing with a victory Monday night. They'll go 3-2 if they can beat the Trail Blazers.
That probably won't be easy, though, as Portland is an excellent on its home court. The Blazers are 28-6 at the Rose Garden. The Sixers handled Portland 100-79 in the teams' first meeting, though that was back on Jan. 14. They had 11 three-pointers in the game, held a 16-2 edge in fast-break points and the bench's plus-minus total was plus-69.
For the Sixers to win again and give them their seventh season sweep (they're 4-0 against the Knicks and Wizards, and 2-0 versus the Rockets, Clippers, Grizzlies and Kings), they'll need to score in transition and hold the Kings under their 102.4-point home average.
"That's a tough place to play," said swingman Andre Iguodala. "We have to come ready to play four solid quarters if we're going to win."
SIXERS 112, KINGS 100: The Sixers bounced back from two straight losses on the trip to hammer Sacramento. They started fast, leading by 35-17 after one quarter and as many as 29 points. The Sixers shot .597 from the floor, including .538 on three-pointers, and received 45 points off the bench.
Andre Iguodala made his first 10 shots en route to a game-high 27 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Thaddeus Young added 22 points and Lou Williams had 18.
